HUExArts Official Launch Party - August 19, 2012
Bring the family, new graduates, and friends for a FREE event in the East Bay celebrating life and the launch of the HUExArts movement! The outdoor festival will build the local community through live music, art, food, drinks, local businesses, & activities for all ages.

The Tutorpedia Foundation’s mission is to provide high-quality, personalized tutoring and related education services to all students, regardless of socioeconomic background. In the San Francisco Bay Area, Tutoropedia serves as an educational resource for the community, facilitating strategic partnerships to expand life opportunities for our youth by investing in essential academic support and mentoring services. The Foundation believes that the 1-1 tutoring model, institutionalized in collaboration with schools, can be a means of closing the achievement gap; graduating more students from high school, and preparing more students for college and beyond. There will be plenty of street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. Carpool if possible!

- Wine and beer will be served to our "VIP" guests and supporters. Proceeds benefit the work of the Tutorpedia Foundation. Every VIP guest must show valid identification. A wristband will be given to VIP guests indicating legal drinking age. No outside alcoholic beverages of any kind will be permitted and no alcohol will be sold on site.

- From MacArthur BART station in Oakland, attendees can board the free Emery-go-Round shuttle (only the Powell bus will run on Sundays) and get off at 65th Street and Shellmound St. The park will be a 10 minute walk from the bus stop.
